It is clear that the “leadership” of the Republican Party has abandoned the principles that made our country great and made our citizens free and independent: Constitutionally limited government, individual sovereignty, and free-market capitalism.
WE BELIEVE that the only legitimate purpose of government is to protect the rights of individuals.
LibertySlate 2010 exists to empower American voters with information about candidates for Congress in 2010 who share our commitment to constitutionally limited government and individual liberty.
In 2008, members of Congress had more meetings with special interest groups than with their own constituents. There is no transparency or accountability in government, so you don’t know where your money is being spent. And the politicians continue to spend away the future’s of the next generation for needless wars, pork-barrel programs that benefit certain groups over other groups, and numerous other unconstitutional pet projects.
There is an alternative in 2010.
LibertySlate, which was conceived in 2006, has spent the last several years researching candidates that represent concerned citizens rather than special interests.
These candidates, all of whom are running as Republicans, favor America’s Founding principles:
- constitutionally limited government
- free markets
- sound money
- balanced budgets
- the rule of law
- respect for civil liberties
- limited foreign entanglements
Our slate of candidates is a sound alternative to the status quo.
